Description
ET5 is NIO’s second pure electric sedan, with length, width and height of 4790mm*1960mm*1499mm, wheelbase of 2888mm, wind resistance coefficient as low as 0.24, dual-motor design, and zero to 100km acceleration of 4.3 seconds. With three models, equipped with standard range battery pack (75kWh) CLTC range of 550 kilometers, equipped with long range battery pack (100kWh) range of 700 kilometers, equipped with ultra-long range battery pack (150kWh) range of 1000 kilometers.
Exterior
ET5 draws on the smooth lines of ET7 and naturally integrates high-performance self-driving sensors into the body, which is pure and futuristic; the muscular silhouette derived from EP9, coupled with sharp creases, creates a youthful and energetic image.
Interior
The NIO is designed according to the concept of a second living room. It is refined and warm, yet full of character and unique. Hidden air vents, simple dashboard, door pulls, electric unlock buttons, door armrests, hidden speakers, all blend together to form a reassuringly enveloping space.
Passive Safety
NIO ET5 is designed in accordance with C-NCAP and Euro NCAP five-star safety standards, and adopts an ultra-high-strength steel-aluminum hybrid body with a torsional stiffness of 34,000 N-m/deg. The height of NIO ET5’s center of gravity is only 482.6mm, and with the extra-wide wheelbase of 1,685mm, it has an anti-rollover coefficient of 1.7.
Performance
The NIO ET5 features a 150 kW front and 210 kW rear dual motor configuration with 360 kW of maximum horsepower, 700 Nm of peak torque, 4 seconds of 100 km acceleration, 8 driving modes, 0.24 wind resistance, 50 to 50 static load ratio, and front and rear five-link suspensions. Equipped with three battery capacities of 75 degrees, 100 degrees and 150 degrees, it offers 550 kilometers, 700 kilometers and 1,000+ kilometers range performance.
Autonomous Driving Capability
The NIO ET5 is equipped with the new generation of automatic driving system NAD, the Aquila NIO Hyper Sensing System and the ADAM NIO Supercomputing Platform as standard. The whole car is equipped with a total of 33 sensors, including 1 LIDAR, in the same watchtower layout as the NIO ET7. The self-driving chip is the same as the ET7, with 4 NVIDIA Drive Orin chips and a total computing power of 1016Tops.
