Despite being an all-electric SUV, the world is convinced that the Eletre still has its own character in terms of handling. At the same time, compared with previous Roadster, Eletre is more like a versatile “multi-headed warrior”, in addition to still full of explosive performance, Eletre also keeps up with the times in various configurations, so that the Roadster from a full-fledged “big toy”. Eletre also goes head-to-head in terms of performance, taking the Lutz from a complete “big toy” to a qualified family member better suited to the needs of everyday life.

Description

Appearance

Visually, the Eletre has a lightness of touch, more like a sports car with a slightly higher chassis than a traditional SUV, a “windy” design approach in the same vein as that of the Evija and Emira.

Following the “porousness” principle of Emira and Evija, Eletre has adopted a unique design approach in the aluminum body. The most obvious pore design is at the front edge of the car, where it guides the airflow. Multiple apertures can be found behind the front wheel arches, behind the rear wheels and even on top of the D-pillars.

From a driving point of view, the advantage of the aperture design is self-evident, as it reduces the resistance of the car body to cut through the air, which effectively improves range, speed and performance, and brings a more efficient driving experience.

In order to guide air through the body more quickly, Eletre has an infinitely variable active grille with a triangular lotus petal design with interconnecting lines, forming a matrix arrangement that occupies the center position. It’s worth noting that the grille is a subtle and intricate design that remains closed when the vehicle is stationary or in motion and needs to reduce drag, and then opens in a unique way when the electric motor, battery pack and braking system need to be cooled, drawing air towards the radiator. The benefit of this is firstly to cleverly resolve the paradox of high wind resistance in electric vehicles without air intake grilles, while at the same time meeting the need for cooling of the motor and battery.

Due to the use of a full carbon roof, the height of the Eletre’s body has been visually reduced significantly, giving the vehicle more dynamic attributes. The rear body consists of a unique floating split spoiler made of carbon fiber, inspired by racing cars and resembling the small fairing of a racing car. Optimized from an aerodynamic point of view, the roof spoiler directs airflow underneath the glass, allowing it to flow into the active rear wing, which also deploys automatically at high speeds and offers three different angles of deployment depending on the choice of driving mode.

Interior Appointments

Inside the Eletre, most eyes will be drawn to a massive 15.1-inch 4KOLED screen. In addition to regular entertainment behavior, Lutz has unified 95% of the car’s functions onto this screen, allowing users to achieve three-touch in-touch access on top of the screen through a new user interface. In addition, the rear of the Eletre is also equipped with a high-definition screen.

The touchscreen arrangement of a large number of functions reduces the use of buttons, making the entire vehicle interior design simplified and presenting a unique technological attribute.
This concept is also reflected in the assembly of the LiDAR, the Eletre reversible LiDAR sensor, the world’s first mass-produced reversible LiDAR. The flip-up lidar is hidden from view when not in use, only revealing itself from the top of the windshield and the front wheel arches when needed, while the sensor at the rear of the car is fixed to the top of the trunk lid. When not in use, the flip-up Lidar effectively reduces wind resistance while maintaining the aesthetics of the overall design of the car, which is also in line with LRT’s philosophy of pursuing the ultimate in wind resistance and simplicity. Streamlining where it should be streamlined, and never compromising where it should be expected by the user.

In addition to LIDAR, Eletre is equipped with ultra-high-definition camera, 4D millimeter-wave radar and other hardware, combined with two 8155 chips, its overall arithmetic power reaches 2.2 GFLOPS, and the hardware and software can support L3-level autonomous driving. This is the first of the current ultra-luxury brand electric SUVs to explicitly announce that it can realize L3-level automatic driving support.

In addition, Lutz has realized 24/7 OTA software upgrade service on top of Eletre. The new car applies new connected technology, compatible with 5G communication technology, which can realize real-time connectivity. Therefore, users can connect with the vehicle through the smartphone app and update the software at any time through OTA, as well as purchase and set up the latest features in time through the software. This again sets a precedent for electric SUVs from ultra-luxury brands.

Power Range

The Eletre is powered by the industry’s top-of-the-line 800V electrical architecture, which is composed primarily of aluminum and high-strength steel to take advantage of excellent structural rigidity. The new car is equipped with dual electric motors driving the front and rear wheels respectively, each with an integrated controller and gearbox, forming a three-in-one electric drive system with a maximum output of 600 hp. This highly efficient design is very classic and unique to Lutz, allowing the electric drive system to be smaller and lighter. 350kW of charging power provides a range of 400 kilometers in 20 minutes of charging, and a full-load range of more than 600 kilometers. These electrification features allow the Eletre to achieve an impressive acceleration of 2.95 seconds to zero 100 km.
