Exterior
The design of the HiPhi X is different from that of previous SUVs and sedans, as it is officially defined as a “sporty SUV” with many sporty elements. The front end adopts the distinctive X design language, with the front end slightly downward to create a swooping stance. Sharp LED headlamps are complemented by penetrating LED daytime running lamps, outlining a dominant and avant-garde front face.
Although the body reaches 5.2 meters, there is not a hint of bloat on the High Hopper HiPhi X. The roof is suspended, and the LEDs are also used to create the look of the car. With its floating roof and low-slung styling, it’s easy to see that it’s not to be messed with, and its 22-inch wheels outshine most other cars in its class. The most exaggerated thing is that the doors of the HiPhi X not only support the folio design like Rolls-Royce models, but also the rear roof door can be opened, and even customize the opening angle, which has to be admired.
The design style of the rear echoes that of the front, with the LED taillights being particularly exaggerated. Moreover, the taillights also support intelligent interaction. It has to be said that the High Hopper HiPhi X makes it difficult for a bunch of manufacturers to surpass it in terms of design.
Interior
In fact, perhaps the most striking thing about the High Hopper HiPhi X is the design of the interior. Inside, the car features three massive screens. The size of the instrumentation alone is 14.6 inches; and the vertical center console, surprisingly, measures 16.9 inches. Even more exaggerated is the large entertainment screen located on the passenger side, which measures an unprecedented 19.9 inches, even comparable to the screen size of some home computers. The UI design of the center control is actually very personalized, as if it were an oversized PAD, rich in features but not complicated to use. And functions like audio, ambient light adjustment and screen animation can even be realized on the cell phone APP. The material of the seats is also made of industry-renowned Alcantara, complemented by delicate leather, which definitely stands up to scrutiny.
Intelligent
For a “geek” car, there is no absence of the more basic functions such as HUD head-up display, touch-type door opening and so on. As for the more advanced intelligent driver assistance system, HiPhi X also gives a proud result. According to the official data, HiPhi X can realize L3 level self-driving ability, and through more than 500 sensors and 5G networking technology, it can realize the intelligent cruise control function which cannot be realized by the similar models.
Range
In the long range version, the HiPhi X is equipped with a 97kW-h Li-ion ternary battery. According to the official data, its NEDC range can reach 550km, and some consumers may be surprised that a NEDC level of 550km can be called “long range”. In fact, the motor used in the HiPhi X is extremely powerful compared to the average family car, which brings about an incalculable amount of power consumption. It’s normal that the range is not as good as that of a comparable family car. Besides, with a range of 550km, it’s perfectly fine for daily commuting.
Mechanical
In terms of power, the Gaohe HiPhi X adopts the front and rear dual permanent magnet synchronous motors design that is more common on performance pure electric cars. The combined power of the entire system reaches 440kW, and the peak torque of a single motor can reach 410N-m, which shows the brutal power performance. Zero hundred acceleration score even reached 3.9s, such specifications, even if facing a host of sports cars, it seems that there is no need to worry.
In terms of suspension specifications, the HiPhi X also uses the air suspension that can only be found in high-end models. Moreover, this air suspension also supports 50mm of adjustable travel, as well as the more advanced CDC continuous damping adjustment system. So, regarding the suspension performance of the High Hopper HiPhi X, it shouldn’t be too bad.
