The BYD Dolphin can also achieve efficient regulation of the battery pack temperature through direct cooling and direct heating technology, and can regulate the temperature of the passenger compartment as needed for low energy consumption. The heat pump system also absorbs waste heat from the electric powertrain, and can operate in a wide temperature range of -30℃ to 40℃. The heat pump system has a faster temperature control and can increase winter driving range by up to 20%.
